Whether it’s 2026 or 2006, there is no doubt that emo is here to stay.
Showcasing two iconic albums, American rock band Boys Like Girls stopped at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair on The Soundtrack of Your Life Tour.
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of their self-titled record, Boys Like Girls (2006), and the 17th anniversary of their sophomore album, Love Drunk (2009), in their entirety (and in tracklist order), the Boston band packed the New Jersey venue with emo, pop-punk, and rock fan...

Grandson brings the revolution to Brooklyn on the INERTIA headlining tour at Warsaw, NYC | 11/07/25 | Photos & Review

New Jersey punk rap duo HO99O9 opened the night, bringing intense, hardcore vibes to the stage. The self-identified “Death Kult Mutant Freax” are currently supporting their third album, Tomorrow We Escape. I found myself stuck in the “stank face” for their entire set, impressed with their sick vocals and blend of metal, electronic, and rock. This performance was my first impression of the band, and they quickly made a fan out of me.

Just a few minutes before grandson’s performance, actor and...

Cage The Elephant’s electric performance at Night One at the Capitol Theatre, NY | 10/28/25 | Photos & Review

The last time alternative-indie rockstars Cage The Elephant performed in the New York/New Jersey area on the band’s 2024 “Neon Pill” headlining tour, frontman and broken boy himself Matt Shultz, unfortunately, performed with a broken foot for the majority of the tour. Nonetheless, he did nothing short of putting on an epic performance, but it was now time for NY/NJ to see Shultz at his fullest potential.

On this night, we quickly learned that his “fullest potential” was non-stop energy and e...

TBT: Fall Out Boy performs So Much For (Tour) Dust Leg One in Holmdel, NJ - 8/5/23 - WMSC 90.3 FM

Let’s start with a confession: When this tour was announced, I fell to the floor outside of our general manager’s office and hyperventilated. I was immediately brought back to middle school – the good part: the music.
Now that we got that embarrassing moment out of the way… onto the show!

Fall Out Boy performed for the first leg of their So Much For (Tour) Dust at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey, located just 45 minutes or so away from Montclair State’s campus.
The first act of...

Photos and Review by Emily McCormack
The Rooftop at Pier 17, New York City– Yungblud’s album 21st Century Liability released just a week before Warped Tour made a stop in Holmdel, NJ in 2018. I knew the album well by then, and was so ecstatic to not only see him perform, but have the chance to meet him at his merch booth. I could tell very quickly that he is not only an incredibly talented and appreciative musician, he is, above all, a genuine human being.
Since then, I haven’t missed a local Yu...

A Gradual Decline in Morale - Kim Dracula Album Review - WMSC 90.3 FM

Kim Dracula said it first, and I’ll back them up – “This may end up being one of your favorite albums of all time.”
As music director, I would say it’s safe to say that I consume a lot (a lot) of music… despite living in an age where all music, past and present, is available at my fingertips, in June I somehow found myself in a strange rut of listening to the same few songs over and over again. The kind of music that I never thought I would get bored of grew stale… I was starving for something n...
